The beauty world will never be the same now that the red sole shoe god, Christian Louboutin has stepped up to the plate! Last week his very first nail color, "Rouge Louboutin," was launched in Loubie boutiques, department stores, and select Sephora's worldwide. Now your mani will match perfectly to your sexy red bottoms! Of course I can talk all day long about how great this polish is, but I want to throw out some Negative Nancy comments. First, I know it's Louboutin but do I really want to spend $50 on a tube of red nail polish?? Sure the bottle is different and all, but really? Speaking of the bottle, when I first saw it in person the first thing that came to mind was, "Dang you could stab someone with that thing!" The sky high cap is measured at eight inches high and was inspired from a calligraphy pen. Mmmm yeh....I'm thinking you MAY want to leave this bad boy at home when traveling by air. I'm thinking that TSA will definitely not approve of a nail polish spear! So kids, just a tip.. paint your nails before travel!

ON THE POSITIVE
IT ALL STARTED WITH NAIL POLISH....
This fact is pretty cool! Red nail polish was the inspiration behind his famous red soles. Back in 1992, Mr. Louboutin was finishing up a drawing of his very first prototype. He obviously felt something was missing and so he went over to his assistants desk and quickly snatched up her bottle of red nail polish and painted the sole! So cool, who would have thought?! A positive is that this polish is said to last at least 4-5 days once applied, and it is free of any harmful chemicals.
You can purchase "Rouge Louboutin" on display near his famous red soles in the shoe department at Neiman Marcus, or online here. The rest of the collection will be released August 31st. There will be 30 shades in different categories: Pops, Nudes and Noirs. Today I want to know your opinion on the polish. Will you buy? Let me know by posting a comment below.
I do apologize for the difficulty in posting a comment. I have had a lot of readers complain that they can not post. I am going to be revamping my blog soon, so I will deal with this issue and make it much more user friendly, but please know that I greatly appreciate all of you for going out of your way to leave a comment.
